Wells Fargo is the world’s second largest bank in terms of market capitalization. The firm is headquartered in San Francisco, California and has offices almost everywhere in the world. According to Kate Rooney (2018), Wells Fargo was the largest bank by market capitalization in July 2015 before slipping behind JPMorgan Chase. The range of assorted financial services offered by Wells Fargo include: - banking, insurance, mortgage, investments and consumer finance. The Company has the following major segments: - community banking, wholesale banking, wealth and investment management.

Apart from Wells Fargo thriving it is endeavors it has been faced by numerous challenges. First, the firm has been facing high competition from its rivals. The rivals include banks and other financial service offering firms. To cushion itself from this, Wells Fargo has ventured in other areas such has parcel delivery. Being in finance industry, the firm has been faced by burglary risks. There has being numerous reports that the firm systems have consistently faced hacking attempts. Also, the firm has reported many cases of employees stealing money while on transit hence it’s one of its major risks. Finally, just like any other business Wells Fargo activities are adversely affected by changes in economic seasons. In recession period in 2008 – 2009, the firm laid off workers due to reduced profits.
