Upload your drafts to Canvas.
First drafts will be workshopped in small groups this week, one paper per day. We will exchange these papers for a peer review; you will write a review of a peer's paper and a peer will write a review of yours. Expectation is about 15 pages of text and about 15 research sources from a variety of media.
As I've mentioned, a draft is a WORK IN PROGRESS. This draft will not be perfect, and there is no expectation whatsoever that it be. DO NOT WORRY about inelegant sentences, poor transitions, missing supporting evidence, or other inadequacies. The point is to plow through the project as best you can at this point. Once you have draft, you can build the project from there: revising, refining, enhancing, fine-tuning, and strengthening your paper.
In a couple of weeks, we'll begin final presentations of your projects. Each of you will teach the rest of the class about your work. Your presentations will use visual media, so you should start collecting images: photos, graphs, maps, quotes. These will be about 15 minutes long, individually presented, using PowerPoint or Prezi.
Good luck and good writing.
