The paper guidelines

In a paragraph that is BETWEEN 250-300 words, you are to respond to the prompt of your choice. You MUST correctly use at least two terms from the weekly unit, These terms MUST be underlined in your summary paper. The definition of the term must be included in your paper, but do NOT underline the definition

Summary Paper

Choose one of the following prompts. Remember to use and define, in your own words, two terms from the terms list in the weekly module (Terms List). Your terms must be underlined. 

Late Medieval 

Compare and contrast how artist depicted 'the spiritual’ in the late medieval period to the Renaissance. Choose two images from your book.

Renaissance

Artists in Italy discovered methods to create the illusion of 3-dimensionality on a painted, flat surface. Some artists were more successful than others in creating this illusion. Using two images in your book, discuss the different methods of creating an illusion of 3-dimensionality. 

OR

Discuss the similarities and differences between the three famous David sculptures of the Renaissance and Baroque period: Donatello on page 233, Michelangelo’s on page 259, and Bernini’s on page 289. 

OR

Discuss the similarities and differences between the Mona Lisa and the Girl with a Pearl Earring.

Baroque

Works by Italian Baroque artists such as Caravaggio or Bernini are very different from works by Northern Baroque artists such as Vermeer or Ruysch. Using 2 images from your text, discuss the similarities and differences between 2 of these artists.
