3. Navigate to the Grove Art Onlinedatabase and search for 'Appropriation Art' (Go to the WSU Libraries > Research > Subject & Resources Guides > Fine Arts (twice) > Research Overview Tab > Grove Art Online> search for Appropriation Art)

4. Once you've read the above DISCUSS the following questions:

· What is central to the notion of ‘appropriation’? (Refer to the Grove source on 'Appropriation' and Nelson 2003 reading, eachat least once.)

· What is excluded? Included? What are the boundaries between plagiarism and theft?

· Provide examples of each

· Your essay should be around one page (always:double-spaced, Times New Roman 12 point font). Each student should individually submit this assignment.

· Cite (at least) one visual example and two written sources using the Chicago style. Include a caption for each visual example as outlined in 'Citing Primary Sources - Appendix of Images'.

· Include all references in a Works Cited page.
