2. Your analysis. Consider aspects we’ve covered in class such as content, audience, and visual appeal. What works? What doesn’t? Why?

For this assignment, you will choose to modify one of your previous essays into a blog (whether the argument or the research paper). This does not mean to take a 2,000-word paper and cut off 1,000 words, but to illustrate you know how to revise one of your more academic assignments to fit another medium and for a different audience.

Tip: Use the blogging PowerPoint to learn how to organize your blog, determine the audience, pick a catchy headline/title, as well as learn how to wrap text around your embedded image.

Blog requirements:

· Be a minimum of 700 words, but no more than 1000

· Use at least 3 hyperlinks (not URLs in the text) but no more than 5

· Include at least one image

· Have a title or headline (aka not “Blog Assignment”)

Remember: Blogs usually contain a hook, introduction, a promise or problem to be solved, uses emotional appeals, cites experts, gives advice or provides solutions, has a call to action and conclusion.
