Topic Selection: Final Topic Selection Assignment
Final Topic of Interest: How do men who suffer with combat-related PTSD benefit from CBT?
Gap Statement: The length of time used in Motion-assisted, Multi-modular Memory Desensitization and Reconsolidation (3MDR) intervention (6 sessions), may not be sufficient to accurately assess the changes occurring in combat-related Treatment Refractory-Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (TR-PTSD).

This article investigates the efficacy of Canadian Armed Forces-service members (CAF-SM) and veterans who suffer with combat-related Treatment Refractory-PTDS (TR-PTSD) after undergoing 3MDR treatment. The objective using both qualitative and quantitative results to show evidence of clinical effectiveness using the 3MDR approach in hopes of further research pursuit and clinical usability.
Variables To Be Measured
This study will use 6 weekly, 90-minute 3MDR sessions as the independent variable and CAF-SM and veterans with combat-related TR-PTSD as the dependent variables.
Research Strategy
A quantitative approach to this research question is most appropriate to explore the data provided by male veterans who suffer with combat-related PTSD and receive CBT. Providing a before and after checklist to examine outcome evidence should be considered.
Cultural Consideration
Although the profession of arms operates as a culturalist entity, a multicultural caveat should be considered to include minority groups and groups of socioeconomic statuses to understand how PTSD affects members of different backgrounds.
