Final Research
Grading Rubric:
We will be playing a stock market game for approximately 8 weeks. Below are the rules of the game, which you
should read carefully. Failure to meet all the requirements of the game will negatively impact your grade on the
project. You must submit the final presentation in the form of a report with expected length 5 pages long
at the minimum excluding the cover page and the bibliography.
Your grade on the project will consist of the following items:
1. Research articles on these stocks: Delta Airlines (DAL) and IBM
The articles on these two stocks should be recent within the last 5 years. The articles should be
focused on:
a) the company history
b) major competitors
c) major products
d) extent of globalization and
e) future prospects/ projects/ long term growth outlook of the company.
2. Completely answering the questions on the rubric sheet. (Don’t worry about the spreadsheet
and graph, I already have them)
3. Neatness and creativity.
Please note that your grade will NOT be based on how your “investments” perform, i.e., whether or not
you make money. 8 weeks is an extremely brief time in the life of the stock market; the purpose of the
game is to develop an understanding of how the market operates, and how investing is accomplished.
