Overview
A Reflection Survey is a way for you to think back on the information you learned thus far, and connect it with your experiences and future goals.
Use this time to evaluate what you've learned, how your new knowledge will help you in being an effective communicator, and how you can implement your learning into a future career.
Your Task: Write three paragraphs, one for each set of prompts below.
1. Describe a course concept or communication skill from the final three Modules that stuck with you.
Identify where you encountered this concept or practiced this skill (examples: textbook chapter, journal entry prompt, discussion post from a classmate). Define the concept or skill in your own words. Explain why this concept or skill was meaningful to you.
2. Find a job posting in a career area that interests you, and analyze how a 2nd skill or concept might be useful in that career.
How might that job require the potential employee to utilize a skill or demonstrate knowledge learned in this group of chapters? Explain the skill in detail, and describe how it would be useful for that job. Once again, identify where you encountered this concept or practiced this skill.
3. Select a 3rd concept or skill from the second half of the semester, and explain how you might apply it to your public life.
Narrate a specific instance to illustrate its usefulness. What problems could this knowledge or skill help to overcome? This paragraph should focus on your role as a citizen and member of various communities.
