Purpose
This is the terminal project for the Instructional Design course. The project topic and method of design is described by the end user of the program, for teaching Soft skills to CAST engineering students.
Resources
· A Training Design Topic identified and selected by the team
· Team work completed during the course including a needs assessment, topic analysis and use these to develop instruction including Instructional objectives, training strategy and evaluation and the actual instructional plan to teach the module.
· Articulate software for a module development
· Textbook and readings for the course
Project overview
· A training topic selected from a list of topics provided
Pre-work- submit with the training module as supporting documentation
· The team will design instruction taking into account learner characteristics and research the topic to be taught to ensure the material to be taught is current and appropriate for the audience. Given the topic a detailed task/topic analysis may be completed and used to guide learners.
Instructional Design- include as approved and relevant to the training module
· Given the instructional material the team will develop instructional objectives to describe what will be taught, to whom and under what conditions.
· An instructional strategy will be articulated and used to design the instructional message.
· Evaluation of the components of the instruction will be evaluated as a whole when completed and put into the completed training module drop box.
