Final Project: Self-Evaluation Assignment Instructions
Overview
The Final Project: Self-Evaluation Assignment will help you reflect on what you have completed so far for your Final Project: Presentation Assignment. You will find in your current or future classroom that if students can self-check assignments before being graded by the teacher, they are able to take ownership of their work and have a better chance of earning an excellent grade. Consider this assignment as a checklist to ensure you have included necessary components in your Final Project: Presentation Assignment. Your Final Project: Presentation Assignment does not have to be complete when completing this assignment, but you should have the “bones” of the Final Project: Presentation Assignment ready to self-check.
Instructions
You must use the Final Project: Self-Evaluation Template for this assignment. You need to:
· Download the Final Project: Self-Evaluation Template and save the document to your computer.
· For Part 1 of this assignment, you should highlight the appropriate description in each column of the rubric provided. For example, if your Final Project: Presentation Assignment only reflects on 4/5 SCRIP components, then in the Demonstrates SCRIP row, you would highlight the Proficient column description.
· Make notes in each area that required point deductions and include points earned in the Points Earned Column.
· Add up your total points earned and put this number in Total Points in the bottom right column of the completed rubric.
· For Part 2 of this assignment, you need to write a minimum of one paragraph (at least 5 sentences) reflecting on your Final Project: Presentation Assignment. This reflective paragraph should include the answers to the following questions:
· What have you have learned about your chosen topic?
· What would you be most excited to share with teachers and/or administrators about your chosen topic?
· How has this assignment helped you grow as an educator?
· The reflective paragraph should have correct use of grammar, punctuation and spelling. It should be double spaced and should include at least 150 words.
Please look at the Final Project: Self-Evaluation Example to see a completed assignment that meets all requirements. Notice that for Part 1: Rubric, each row is graded and when points were deducted, the student listed why points were deducted. The points earned column is filled in with the total points listed at the bottom of the last column. Part 2: Reflective Paragraph, is at least five sentences, has proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and answers the questions in paragraph form.
