This project is to design a virtual tour of one cultural aspect of Buffalo’s East Side neighborhood.

There is an excellent virtual tour online of the Historic Churches of Buffalo’s East Side neighborhood. (Use the link above to see the site.) Look over this site and use it as a model for your project.
Each of the tours that you organize should contain the following information:
A clear overview of the history of this phenomenon in the U.S.
A clear overview of the history of this phenomenon on the East Side
A map with key sites highlighted with numbers
A virtual tour of each site with written explanations of its significance
There are several resources that can be used to collect information for your tours. I have outlined some of the best resources that you can use to begin your research below (by theme).
Modern Architecture in the District
Buffalo became a hot spot for architectural modernism in the 1910s and 20s, beginning with the inspiration caused by its grain elevators and early factories. Below are a few histories of the city that will help you begin to locate more information on this legacy on the East Side.
