Development of a Project Cost Estimate

Problem Statement and deliverables

Prepare a comprehensive quantity and cost estimate for a small Commercial Project (Drawings

are attached). The estimate should include the following components:

• Office and job overheads (from assignment 2)

• Excavation

• Concrete

• Masonry

• Metal

• Thermal and moisture protection

The drawings provided are not comprehensive so you might have to make some assumptions

related to the quantities and cost. If so, please include a list of assumptions in the beginning of

your final report. You also have to prepare an estimate summary sheet at the end (Sheet is

attached as an excel file). You all have to include your overhead estimate from Assignment #2 in

the summary sheet.

Please refer to Appendix C of the textbook for the Specifications and Addenda related to the

project. You will need this information for preparing the quantity estimate of each component.

Grading criteria

Total points possible: 300

Please use single line space, 12 points Times New Roman font and 1” margin on all the sides of

your document. The document should be checked for any grammatical errors. The rubric is as

follows:
