Writing Portfolio

Final Portfolio requirements Highlight anything done on essays.

A portfolio, as we have discussed in class, is a collection of work done over time that gives a good overview of your abilities. In this class, we have tried to focus on process as well as product, and the Final Portfolio assignment will reflect this focus, both in terms of what you submit and how the Portfolio will be evaluated.

Your Final Portfolio should include ​all​ of the following elements:

● the final draft of your Reflective Essay (1000-1200 words) ● a revised version of Essay 1, in which you have ​bolded​ or ​highlighted​ all

substantial changes ● your original final draft of Essay 1 ● a revised version of Essay 2, in which you have ​bolded​ or ​highlighted​ all

substantial changes ● your original final draft of Essay 2

As a whole, your Portfolio should describe and demonstrate your writing process, from brainstorming to your final Portfolio revisions, so try to address that process in your Reflective Essay.

Portfolios will be graded on the quality of revision demonstrated for Essays 1 & 2 (75%) and the thoroughness and quality of the Reflective Essay (25%).

Final Portfolios must be submitted on Canvas and ​also as a hard copy​, which you will turn in during our scheduled final exam meeting time (8:30 a.m.) on Tuesday, 5/14/19. I cannot accept late Portfolios except in the case of a documented emergency, so please plan accordingly, and let me know in advance of any potential conflicts.
