Creating your Business Plan
Our goal is to create a business plan that shows all of what you have learned throughout these 10 weeks from strategy and purpose, to market research, to competitive marketing strategies, to business operations, to reviewing financing requirements and options, and to business controls. Each of these six phases are going to help you navigate through all of these elements to ensure that you have a better understanding of how each of these areas of the business are important in creating your ideal business plan.
The final paper will be a total of 12-15 pages, typed double space, Times New Roman, 12pt font size. APA 7th will be used on all submissions.
Below is the lay-out of the Final Paper Project
Week 1: Strategy and Purpose -Phase 1 (Executive Summary and Company Description) ● Choose a product or service that you will create your business plan for ● Look for your company’s logo, or create one ● Really clarify your company description: what it does, what it solves, etc.
Week 2: Market Research - Phase 2 (Market Research) ● What is your strategy in looking for your niche market? ● Who are your customers? ● What is the demographics ● Who are your top three competitors?
Week 3 & 4: Competitive Marketing Strategies -Phase 3 (Marketing Plan) ● Review your marketing plan ● Review the 4 P’s that you’ve learned in your marketing classes ● Don’t forget all avenues of marketing online, networking, social media, etc.
Week 5: Operations - Phase 4 (Organization and Management) ● Look for the legal matters ● Review any ethical issues if any ● Review your supplier and see if you need to outsource any of your organization

Week 6 & 7: Reviewing Financing Requirements and Options - Phase 5 (Financial Projections) ● Review your sales projections, cash flows, and discuss your profit and loss ● Don’t forget to review your budget, ● Estimate your financing requirements
