1. How ACA is involved in the process of Checks and Balance

a. This section should focus on the checks and balances of the government -- How do the executive, judicial, and legislative branches work together (or against each other) with regards to the ACA policy?

b. What issues do they encounter? How does this link to federalism?

2. Relationship between ACA to elections and Public Policy

a. ACA has united most Americans from different state when it comes to national elections.

b. Americans vote to candidates who are willing to fully implement the Obama care and avoid those who are not willing to develop policies to support the ACA (Sparer, 2011).

3. Impacts of ACA to the process of voting and elections.

a. Healthcare is very important to United States voters. Voters are interested in candidates who have clear plans for resolving the future of ACA and reducing the national health spending.

b. Various States have Medicaid extension issue on the ballot (Lanford & Quadagno, 2016). In 2012 the Supreme Court made it optional for this extension to cover all low income earners in the US. The states that have the question of extending Medicaid are likely to have a close contest in the gubernatorial elections.

4. Conclusion

The ACA was signed into law in 2010 and became fully operational in 2012. This law has significantly improved healthcare in the US. It has significantly lowered the cost of healthcare in the United States. More people are able to access healthcare despite being below the national poverty level (Shi, Nellans & Shi, 2015). The ACA has also expanded Medicaid to cover people living below poverty level, lowered the government spending on healthcare and made health insurance affordable to most people. ACA has united most Americans from different state when it comes to national elections. Americans vote to candidates who are willing to fully implement the Obama care and avoid those who are not willing to develop policies to support the ACA.
