Introduction

RSC Tempest examines people who desire for power and ruling. According to the movie, modern people act to fulfil their selfish needs and desire. The characters are locked in a power struggle, where each wants to have power over the island and everyone else. On the other hand, Kiki Delivery explore how delivery services enable people to thrive while others desiring to start the business. Kiki agrees to deliver the gift on the time and heading towards the boy home along with her cat jiji. The two movies explore how desires promote efforts among people and the outcomes of following one’s desire. This essay compares these two movies based on their thematic concerns, characters, and plot developments.

RSC Tempest explores the topic Idea Modern People who have a desire for power and ruling. Modern people often act to fulfill their own selfish needs and desires. In the Tempest the characters are locked in a power struggle, where each wants to have power over the island and everyone else. Prospero in the story has control over Ariel and Caliban although he treats both the relationship differently, they are both away of the control Prospero has over them .Caliban challenges this by serving Stephano , he sees him as a strong god and offers to serve him as his new master. he escapes one control only to create another and persuades Stephano to kill Prospero so that he can marry Miranda and have control over the island .Power in the play is also seen where when Gonzalo envisions a world with no power he is mocked .Sebastian reminds him that he would have power and a king even though he does not exercise it. Each character tends to have a plan for the Island if they were in charge. Caliban wants to "fill the isle with Caliban's," Stefano wants to murder his way to power, and Gonzalo imagines an utopian mutually regulated society if he were in command of the island. We often desire to have power in order to fulfill our selfish needs and gains.

On the other hand, the film Kiki Delivery asserts that people dream thinking that their dreams will be fulfilled someday. Kiki wearing the black dress made by her mother with same big red bow ribbon. She looks happy while riding her magic broom. She is on the way to delivering the gift given by the customer from shop. It’s a gift for her nephew birthday. She got good money from that customer for the delivery service. So, kiki agree to deliver the gift on the time and heading towards the boy home along with her cat jiji. While taking a flight she is in trouble by the strong wind and her cat jiji looks clumsy and about to fall from her magic broom. Below her we can see the beautiful scenario of village along with silent sea and blue sky. Kiki loves her work. She is very devoted to her work that even having a so many difficulties while delivering her complete her job. This shows that she is kind a stubborn sometime, but she has a passion to fulfill her dream fully. Throughout her delivery services, Kiki always puts the wants and interests of others before her own. She performs difficult tasks for the sake of others. In some instances, she flies far to different parts of the town to deliver a variety of goods. She even agrees to deliver a heavy parcel she can barely lift.

RSC Tempest’s topic Idea Modern people often think that the monster attacking them is an external threat however and often it tends to be an internal threat. Morbius lives in a remote planet with his daughter. Morbius, who lives in his own little empire made by unexplained technology, is skeptical and resentful of everyone who walks into his paradise and disturbs it. A threat occurs with Morbius's id controlling the monster and the machine bringing it to life.

Forgiveness and reconciliation heal broken relationships. In Kiki Delivery work, Prospero holding her staff and is in defensive mode. Miranda was hiding behind the Prospero as she was scared and finds a secure place behind the Prospero. They both are in the island cliff. It’s a daytime and can see blue sea behind them. Although Prospero learn that their deeds towards the others act as major steppingstone toward discovering their purpose in life. Modern people integrate their lives with romance in their lives to overcome tragedies that happened before. Prospero forgives his foes, and this paves way for Ferdinand to marry Miranda. Most of it all is about losing, rediscovering, forgiving, reconciling, and creating their groove. They learn that discovering their purpose in life will help them become their former self, individuals full of goodwill and desire to help others. Prospero accepts that it is right to forgive his foes than to take revenge. The moment Ariel suggests if he was a human, he would feel sorry for his nobles, he immediately prompts Prospero to declare that he also has sympathy for them.

Internal threat is demonstrated throughout the RSC Tempest, primarily by Robby and Morbius, and how the posters made Robby appear to be an external threat, and how the monster killing everyone is seen as another external threat, which is not the case with Morbius's mind tapping into the big machine and unconsciously creating a monster of his id. The subconscious and the darkness that lurks within it are the internal threat addressed in this film. External threats may include invading foes, and natural disasters, whereas internal threats may include spies, betrayals of trusted friends, and of course the evil that exists within oneself. Morbius' internal threat or subconscious betrays him as his anger and ill feelings grow stronger, and the powerful machine responds to his ideas, resulting in the creation of the Id monsters. We often let our emotions, such as fear, anger, and hatred control us and hence when these emotions increase, they become an internal threat.

The movie Kiki Delivery indicates that maturity does not measure by age. Since Kiki broke her mother broom she cannot fly. So, she is trying to take a flight on common broom burrow from a street sweeper man. She is in the middle of the street and put her all energy, concentration, and power to make the broom fly to save her friend Tombo. All she knows that her friend is in trouble, and she is the only one who can save him. Seeing Town people are in shocked and curious seeing kiki, what she is trying to do? Finally, broom took her commands and ready to take a flight to save her friend. It shows that everything is possible in your life if you have positive feeling, practice, and hard work to accomplish what you want in your life. Kiki is just a child who has a lot of dream but her dedication to her work proves there is no age limits to achieve your dream.
