FINAL ASSIGNMENT

GROUP WEBSITE

Your task is to create a website (blog) designed to inform parents, educators, and perhaps other students like yourselves about important aspects of a child’s development. Your blog page should include useful information covered in this course, such as:

· Family, Culture, and Community

· Biological Beginnings

· Physical Development

· Cognitive Development

· Intelligence

· Language Development

· Development of Academic Domains

Your topic is highlighted in RED

You are not required to cover all these topics, at least the equivalent of the number of people in your group. In other words – if you have 4 people in your group, you could cover at least four topics.

Information presented should be general but serve to inform individuals with a need to learn more about child development in creative and interesting ways.

The following websites provide examples of how you may want to present information:

· Charts of milestones by domain and age (more comprehensive than yours should be, but a nice format).

· Articles about general aspects of development (also more comprehensive than yours need to be, but a nice format)

2.  http://www.cfw.tufts.edu/?/category/development/4/Links to an external site.  the child and family web guide provides website information for families and useful should you choose to add some links to your site.

Finally, several blog sites are available and are free to use:

Review the instructions to successfully complete your Final Group Project.

Keep in mind, I require all the following to be included:

1. General overview of your area of development including any important information

2. Developmental milestones for early childhood

3. Theoretical background of your area of development (mention one or two theorists who are relevant).

4. Way in which you can promote healthy development in your area 

5. Charts, pictures, videos, and multimedia to make your website attractive to readers
