ENC 1102 – Final Written Analysis Assignment

Purpose: To critically analyze a work of drama through literary criticism. This assignment has three parts consisting of: Full Outline, Annotated Bibliography, and an Analysis Paper

Choose from the text readings: “Hamlet” “Oedipus” “Wit”

Part One: Full Outline

1. Outline your entire work per the example previously handed out in class

2. This is due on 04/23/2018 in class

3. This will be worth 5 points

Part Two: Annotated Bibliography

1. Must include a minimum of 10 sources from the Library Database. This does not include your primary source for the play itself. You only need to use 5 of the outside sources but must find a minimum of 10 for your bibliography

2. A hard copy (printed) is due in class on 04/25/2017

3. This is worth 10 points

Part Three: Analysis Paper (5-7 pages; not including Work Cited page)

1. MLA formatting throughout

2. At least five in-text citations (your quote)

3. Works cited page (separate from your analysis paper) attached to final version

4. Rough draft due in class on 04/30/2018

5. Hard Copies turned in at beginning of class on your final date (05/02 or 05/07). (ALSO, Electronic copies submitted via e-mail by midnight, same day as final).

6. This is worth 30 points
