Examining the impact of Covid-19 on the Retail Industry and the Future of the Industry

Covd-19 has impacted the retail and forced it to re-look at the business strategies and plan for the unknown. This assignment has been designed to enable you to synthesize all the information learnt during your time in the undergraduate program and analyze how retail industry is handling the “new normal” and predict how the industry will evolve in the near future.

Current Situation Analysis: Answer the questions in-depth.

1. Branding: How did the brand change/adapt their messaging from pre-Covid days?

2. Promotions: Did the brand change their promotional strategy? E.g. have more sales/ less sales?

3. Channel strategy: Did the brand change its strategy in terms of fulfillment? What changes were made? What worked/did no work and why?

Expectations of the assignment:

1. You will follow APA formatting (7th edition). for APA,

b. Current Situation Analysis – Minimum 6 references (2 per question).

c. Trends – Minimum 3 references per trend.

d. 12-point font, double space, include headings/sub-headings as needed to make the assignment more impactful.
