Film Treatment

Both exceedingly sensational and profoundly passionate, ROOM will be a short film and contacting investigation of the unfathomable love between a mother and her kid. Following 5-year-old Aiden Noel and his Ma Kimora Niocols escape from the encased surroundings that Aiden has known as long as he can remember, the kid makes an exciting revelation: the outside world. As he encounters all the delight, fervor, and dread this new experience brings, he holds tight to the one thing that issues a large portion of all- - his extraordinary bond with his cherishing and dedicated Ma.

They will live in a squalid shed. They share a bed, toilet, bathtub, television, and rudimentary kitchen; the only window is a skylight. They are captives of a man they call "Old Jay", Aiden’s biological father, who abducted Kimora ten years prior and routinely rapes her while Aiden sleeps in the closet. She tries to stay optimistic for her son but suffers from malnutrition and depression.
