Introduction to Sociology (SOC-201) Film Reaction Paper Due: October 18th, 2019

Overview of Assignment

The purpose of this assignment is to critically analyze What Happened to Monday (2017) and to incorporate course readings and discussions to develop a well thought out essay. Papers should identify main themes found in the film and demonstrate how such themes relate to course concepts and readings discussed throughout the semester thus far. Film reaction papers will account for 5% of the overall grade in the course.

Assignment Guidelines

Papers need to be structured in an academic format, including an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Students should provide clear connections between film concepts and course themes and readings, using multiple forms of textual support to support these connections (direct quotation, paraphrase, general thematic references). The assignment is due on October 18th, 2019 at midnight. The paper should be submitted through Canvas as a word document (doc or docx). Please allow for a period of two weeks to grade and post received grades on Canvas. Students may notify the discussion leader 24 hours following the posting of grades on Canvas with any issues they might have with grades and a meeting can be arranged to review the paper.
