Bill Goodykoontz is the film critic for The Arizona
Republic and the chief critic for Gannett, the largest newspaper company in the United States. He has also worked as a television critic, features columnist, sports columnist, news reporter, and editor. He teaches online media at Arizona State University and has taught media problems and sports media classes there as well. He is a graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, with a bachelors degree in English. In addition to writing and teaching, Bill also coaches various soccer, basketball, and baseball teams. He lives in Chandler, Arizona, with his wife, four children, and assorted rodent-like pets.

Christopher P. Jacobs taught Introduction to Film, as well as periodic courses in screenwriting and video production, at the University of North Dakota from 1995 until his early retirement in May 2017. He earned his B.A. in music, theater, and film, followed by an M.A. in film and dramatic production criticism and TV production from UND. For 23 years, he wrote reviews of films, DVDs, Blu-rays, and live theater productions for the High Plains
Reader, a regional weekly arts and entertainment tabloid. He co-authored Guide to the Silent Years of
American Cinema with Donald W. McCaffrey, published by Greenwood in 1999. Jacobs managed movie theaters for 9 years and worked an additional 12 years as a projectionist, writing a manual for booth operation. He also worked on several independent films, including Fargo, and completed six full-length features of his own on digital video, as well as numerous shorts. Jacobs passed away in October 2017.

James Meetze teaches Film and Creative Writing in the Division of General Education at Ashford University. Prior to Ashford, he taught Creative Writing and Literature at UC San Diego, at California State University San Marcos, and in the MFA program at National University.
He is the author of three books of poetry, including Phantom Hour and Dayglo, winner of the 2010 Sawtooth Poetry Prize, both published by Ahsahta Press. He is editor, with Simon Pettet, of Other Flowers:
Uncollected Poems by James Schuyler (FSG, 2010) and co-author of Transcending Genre: An Introduc
tion to the Elements of Creative Writing (Bridgepoint, 2016). His poems have been translated into Spanish, Turkish, and Croatian. He earned a bachelors degree in Literature and Creative Writing at UC Santa Cruz, a master of fine arts in poetry at Mills College, and a PhD in mythological studies at Pacifica Graduate Institute. He is co-writer and executive producer of the short film The Conservationist, as well as numerous other film scripts. He lives in San Diego, California.
