Video CD Library Management

ممكن تستخدميها في مقدمه الشابتر او احذفيها

The traditional method to archive all videos captured by putting it on CD or DVD then give it serial number and put it on shelves numbered as sequence for easy to reach. This method is good to archive videos on CDs or DVDs but there is a problem when you want to find a particular video you need more time and efforts to find this. We suggest creating online archive website to archive all videos using client-server side programming languages such as PHP and MySQL. This website will offer time and effort consuming when you search for video in traditional method.

System Planning Phase

The first phase describes the system’s objective, goals, the scope of the solution and theatrical Base.

Aim and objectives:تنضاف على الي عندك

الأهداف بعدين الاسكوب بعدين اللكتشر ريفيو

The project aims and objectives that will be achieved after completion of this project are as follows:

· Create online website for MBC Company to archive all videos into categories to record all data online.

· Automate archiving method online via creating database to store all data.

· Enable administrator to add managers and employee to manage users of site.

· Enable manager to upload new videos online by determine all video information.

· Enable employee view all videos by categories to easy reach required video.

· Offer search technique to search availability of videos and its location on shelves.

· View videos by last date of uploading file.

System analysis:

The Systems analysis is "a problem-solving technique that decomposes a system into its component pieces for the purpose of the studying how well those component parts work and interact to accomplish their purpose". According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, systems analysis is "the process of studying a procedure or business in order to identify its goals and purposes and create systems and procedures that will achieve them in an efficient way". Analysis and synthesis, as scientific methods, always go hand in hand; they complement one another. Every synthesis is built upon the results of a preceding analysis, and every analysis requires a subsequent synthesis in order to verify and correct its results.

System analysis is the process of examining and studying all parts of the system, and how to perform the work, and the concept of the system in this context individuals, machines and elements that constitute the whole system, and have an effective role in achieving the goal of a specific job. We can also define system analysis as an in-depth study at the heart of an existing system and its details in order to reach its problems and weaknesses; it can then be resolved or better constructed and developed. This is done by following the systems analyst for a series of steps and procedures that require design A fully computerized system and its construction.

System development life cycle is referred to a methodology for developing systems. It produces consistent framework of tasks and deliverables needed to develop systems. The SDLC methodology may be condensed to include automated or manual, whether it is a new system, or an enhancement to existing system. The SDLC methodology tracks a project from an idea developed by the user through feasibility study, systems analysis and design, programming, pilot testing, implementation and post implementation analysis.

System development life cycle means combination of various activities. In other words, various activities put together are referred to as system development life cycle. In the system analysis and design terminology system development life cycle is known to be software development life cycle, the following are the different phases of software development life cycle. Software concept, Requirement analysis, Architectural design, Coding and debugging, System testing, Implementation, Maintenance.

This stage discuss the system requirements (functional, nonfunctional). The system requirements are divided into two categories; the functional requirements, non- functional requirements.

System Softwares

When the trainee making a website, there is a lot to do! As well as writing a HTML and CSS code, the trainee need to test out website, buy domain and hosting, and upload files and more. There are also optional things, like SEO, analytics and validation.

HTML

HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is the most basic building block of the Web. It describes and defines the content of a webpage. Other technologies besides HTML are generally used to describe a webpage's appearance/presentation (CSS) or functionality/behavior (JavaScript).

CSS

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a stylesheet language used to describe the presentation of a document written in HTML or XML (including XML dialects such as SVG or XHTML). CSS describes how elements should be rendered on screen, on paper, in speech, or on other media.

JavaScript

JavaScript (JS) is a lightweight interpreted or JIT-compiled programming language with first-class functions. While it is most well-known as the scripting language for Web pages, many non-browser environments also use it, such as Node.js, Apache CouchDB and Adobe Acrobat. JavaScript is a prototype-based, multi-paradigm, dynamic language, supporting object-oriented, imperative, and declarative (e.g. functional programming) styles.

PHP

PHP is a server-side scripting language designed primarily for web development but also used as a general-purpose programming language. Originally created by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1994, the PHP reference implementation is now produced by The PHP Development Team. PHP originally stood for Personal Home Page, but it now stands for the recursive acronym PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor

MySQL

MySQL is a freely available open source Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) that uses Structured Query Language (SQL). SQL is the most popular language for adding, accessing and managing content in a database. It is most noted for its quick processing, proven reliability, ease and flexibility of use. MySQL is an essential part of almost every open source PHP application.

Web Browsers

Each web browser renders HTML and CSS in a different way, so we’ll also need to make sure that our website displays and functions properly in each one. The five most popular web browsers, in order from most to least popular, are:

· Google Chrome

· Windows Internet Explorer

· Mozilla Firefox

· Apple Safari

· Opera

Text Editor

A text editor is program that allows us for creating, viewing, and editing text files. Unlike Office Word, text editors could not adding formatting to text. The text editor enable programmers to write codes and comments on his/her programs such as: Notepad, Notepad++, and Dreamweaver.

Hardware:

The trainee need a powerful laptop to install all website design and developments software to start design and coding web pages. The trainee use hp Pavilion laptop to create a website.

System Analysis Tools

The trainee used deferent system analysis tools such as:

Activity Diagram:

This is activity diagram to show users to interact with system functionality and see each user type what can be do.

Use Cases:

This is use cases for each actor that deal with system each actor will do many functions that is in oval shape.

ERD:

This is ERD diagram that show all entities that are need to work in project each entity has many attributes and the entities related with relationship.

DFD:

Navigational Map:

This chart will explain the navigational map of each user type such as the administrator what is the pages will seen in his account, and the employee account what are the pages will contains.

Proposed Solution

The trainee create online website based on archive videos over internet to increase user interaction with videos online. This system will automate all traditional processes of archiving videos on CDs or DVDs on the shelves, by create website based on MySQL database of multiple tables to store data correctly and retrieve information quickly. From this side the trainee will get many benefits when using this system such as separate users like (administrator, manager, and employee) each of them the system will give custom privileges to interact with site.

Implementation

Implementation This section is the last step of system development life cycle and it is the important part that shows how the trainee implement the system using different coding programs such as (html, css and php) .

System Interfaces:

The trainee will mentioned all website screen to describe each screen and test it.

1- Homepage: In this page, the trainee will see the logo and site title and main navigation bar contains many links from other pages.

Administrator Screens:

2- Homepage: In this page, the administrator can login to his account by enter his/her username and password.

2

Figure 2 – administrator login page

If the administrator press on login button without enter username or password the system will show errors like this:

If the administrator enter invalid username or password the system will show error like “You are not authorized to login”

After that if, the administrator enter correct username and password then system will show message “You logged in” like this.

Then system will redirect the administrator to his account profile, this page has many links to pages like this:

3- New Upload: If the admin click on this link, the system will open the upload new video page to enter the video data.

3

· If the admin press on upload button without enter any fields of this page then the website will show error message “these fields are required “that inform the admin about empty fields.

· If the admin fill all required fields with valid data then press on upload button the system will inform the admin ok inserted message:

4- View all videos: this page will show all uploaded videos as a table:

4

5- View all employees: this page will show all employees inside the website as a table:

If the employee press on login button without enter username or password the system will show errors like this:

If the employee enter invalid username or password, the system will show error like “You are not authorized to login”

After that if, the employee enter correct username and password then system will show message “You logged in” like this.

Then system will redirect the employee to his account profile, this page has many links to pages like this:

This page contains many navigation links that offer functions for employee to interact with website.

2- View videos by categories: this page will all video categories as a table when the employee press on view videos the system will filter videos by selected category.

2

The result of this page after click on view videos link like this:

3- Search for video: this page enable employee to search for any video by select the category and name of needed video to find

3

4- If the employee forget to enter the search field the system will show error:

4

· If the employee enter the search fields then press on search button the system will search into database then get the result of query. If the result has no rows matched to search the system will show error like:

· If the system find the matched result of search query, then will show the data return.

5- Change password: this option enable the employee to change his password to keep the website more secure.

5

· If the employee forget to enter these fields the website will show errors like:

· If the employee enter invalid current password and non-matched new and confirm password the website will inform admin with error message.

6- Logout : this option enable employee to logout from his profile.

Database schema:

The trainee will show the database schema tables that built a website interfaces upon them.

The trainee have some tables:

These are a database tables: admin, employee, category and videos.

The trainee will start with admin table:

This table has admin_id as primary key of table and auto increment field to prevent data redundancy.

In addition, username and password fields.

The second table is employee table:

In this table we create emp_id as primary key for this table and add some other fields such as firstname, lastname, mobile, username and password.

The third table is category of videos: this table will distinguish between videos by category such TV, Programs, Islamic etc.

This table will contain primary key like cat_id to unique id for each category. And add name of category.

The last table will be the videos table will contains all video information and details.

the primary key of this table will be video_id and add title for each video to enable to search for it, and adding meta_data as description data about this video, this table will relate with category table by cat_id field, and the video after uploading on server will store the real path to get in <video> tag for src attribute to view it.

The trainee need to store on which shelves that video CD or DVD on from this point the trainee need to store the video location and the last column is upload_date for knows in which date this video uploaded.

The only disadvantage is the high cost since the company has to buy hardware equipment (Server, storage, cables .etc.) and software license (Microsoft Server Operating System, SQL Database. etc.) in order to implement the solution.
