Information on the questionnaire

You are being invited to participate in a study on transport, focusing on the use of public transport. This study

is being conducted by students taking the module ‘transport data collection and analysis’ by the institute for

Transport Studies from the University of Leeds.

The purpose of this research study is to understand differences in the use of public transport and view of

public transport, and will take you approximately 2-5 minutes to complete. Your participation in this study is

entirely voluntary and you can withdraw from participation at any time. You do not have to answer any

questions you do not want to.

We believe there are no known risks associated with this research study; however, as with any related

activity the risk of a breach is always possible. To the best of our ability your participation in this study will

remain confidential, and only anonymised data will be published. We will minimise any risks by asking very

limited personal information and asking less precise data (such as age bands).

We (the students) will analyse the data, and we will not report any individual data in such way that you can be

recognized. The teachers on this module oversee this data collection and the analysis. The teachers on this

module will also have access to the data. Auditors from the University of Leeds where it is relevant are

allowed to look at relevant sections of the data as well if necessary.

This study has been reviewed and given a favourable opinion by Business, Environment and Social Sciences

joint Faculty Research Ethics Committee (AREA FREC) on September 30th, ethics reference [AREA 19-023].
