FEEDBACK FOR CORRECTIONS IN PAPER THAT YOU WROTE FOR ME EARLY IN THE SEMESTER. YOU WROTE THE DRAFT AND I JUST NEED TO TURN IN THE FINAL PAPER AFTER THE ADDED CORRECTIONS ARE MADE.
MAKE THE ADDED CORRECTIONS TO THE PAPER, BUT NOTHING MAJOR NEEDS TO BE DONE TO THE PAPER. DO ADD THE NEEDED THINGS THAT THE PROFESSOR ACKNOWLEDGED NEEDED TO BE CORRECTED. BELOW IS THE FEEDBACK FROM THE PROFESSOR
Where did Nazi ideology come from, and why was it persuasive? Propaganda can be effective, but only if a party controls the media and only if there is at least sympathy for it among the population. Be more specific about the gradual steps the Nazis took. For example, the Nuremberg Laws were passed in 1935, but Jews were not forced into ghettos until after WWII had begun. Most of the concentration camps were set up in Poland, and they had to be set up before Jews could be moved there. You especially need to be careful about the Einsatzgruppen. There were a horrible but specific and temporary element in the Final Solution. They participated in the first wave of killings after the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union, but they were eventually replaced by the death camps and gas chambers. None of this requires major rewriting, but emphasizing the sequence of events reveals another tool that the Nazis used, which was their gradual, step-by-step plan for eliminating Jews. That can add to the narrative you have constructed.
