Del 3

Thank you for your deliverable 3 submission.  The feedback below corresponds to each section of the grading rubrics for this deliverable.

Section 1:   Grade 3.  You did a good job introducing the topic (TB) and your thesis statement about the need for a surveillance program.  To emphasize the  importance  of this you might include in this paragraph some statistics about how many people have died from TB.  That’s just an example.  The first paragraph clearly introduces the topic and includes a thesis statement that summarizes the main point of the essay  and its  importance. You have demonstrated proficiency in this section of the deliverable.

Section 2:    Grade 3.  Outstanding job of describing the disease, however, I am unclear of your target population.  You mentioned several geographic areas that are effected but not an actual population.  Clearly stated and thorough description of the preventable disease and  population affected by the disease .  You have demonstrated proficiency in this section of the deliverable.

Section 3:  Grade 2. Great job describing the type of information to be collected.  Who is going to actually collect it and how?  Then how will it be transmitted to the appropriate places?   Those are the methods that you need to discuss.    Methods for a disease surveillance program are clearly stated  and supported by evidence from at least two professional sources published within the past five years. Y ou have demonstrated competence in this section of the deliverable.

Section 4:  Grade 1.  You spoke about these organizations and how they can help fight the disease but we are talking about them launching the surveillance program.  Which organizations would be best suited for that and why?

Section 5:  Grade 4.  Good job discussing several ways the information would be communicated.  Clearly stated and thorough description of how the program would be communicated to healthcare providers and communities. You have demonstrated mastery in this component of the deliverable.

Wow that was a fabulous first attempt! Well researched and well written!  You have a very solid foundation to build on here.  You have two more attempts for this deliverable.  I look forward to your next submission!

Section 2:  Grade 1.  Please review the  module information and Dr. Bennett’s recorded live session  to gain a better understanding of health disparities Then explain how they relate to pregnant women with malaria.  Health disparities impacting the population globally are clearly presented with a detailed description of how they support the main concept

Section 3:  Grade 2 .  Genetics and environment would be health determinants but you need to expand on that a little bit.  How does this relate to pregnant women with malaria?   At least three pertinent determinants of health are  presented in a way that supports the main concept.

Section 4:  Grade 1.   At least three ethical considerations are clearly presented in a way that supports the main concept.  It is not clear what ethical standards you are speaking of and you have not indicated how this relates to pregnant women with malaria.

Section 5:  Grade 2.  You have clearly presented three human rights but how do they relate to pregnant women with malaria?. At least three human rights are clearly presented in a way that supports the main concept.

something to keep in mind is that every section always has to tie back into your main topic (in this case pregnant women with malaria).  You have 2 more attempts for this deliverable.
