Reasons I should begin my blog

Introduction

As per my understanding and out of my experience, a blog means a website or a web page that I will run. I also realize that I can write the blog in either conversational style or even in an informal manner. In the current era, various websites have been developed and the majority of operations and businesses are being done by using the blog to update information regarding whatever I might be intending to communicate to my people. The blog will also be an easy way of operating and it is the appropriate mode of operating at the current moment. Therefore, it becomes important to examine the reasons that would make me to start my own blog. Comment by Diandra: Good job with the final sentence of your introduction. For a narrative essay, it is good to end a paragraph with a hint of what is to come and creates interest within your reader. What we can work on here is word choice. Here you write “the reasons that would make me to start”. A better word choice would be one of the following: The reasons that would convince me to start. The reasons why I should start.

One of the reasons for making me to start my blog is my basic attitude, beliefs and even feelings concerning the issue of wanting to start my blog. Concerning this aspect, my attitude, belief and feeling is that various blogs have been developed by different individuals and this poses a great threat to using a person’s blog or even another blog that has been developed by another group of individuals. The reason is that the blog might expose my information even to the outsiders that may use my information for malicious practices. Remember that the first sentence of a paragraph should be clear on the focus of your paragraph and in the following sentences you can explain further. One reason for not starting my blog is based on the negative attitude and feelings that I have concerning blogs because individuals could expose information in my blog. This is just a suggestion. I also suggest elaborating and giving more details in the body of the paragraph. It isn’t quite clear what individuals or whose blog you refer to. Do you mean that there is risk involved in creating your own blog? What do you mean by another blog developed by another group of individuals? Is the focus of this paragraph the feelings and attitude you have due to these risks? Comment by Diandra: Comma to separate items in a list Commas separate items in a list of three or more. Ex. The recipe includes flour, milk, eggs, oil, and baking powder. The serial comma (Oxford comma) is the last comma before the conjunction in lists. The serial comma is used to avoid confusion. It prevents the reader from thinking that the last two items on the list are a pair. Consider comma placement in the following sentences: I ate apples, bananas, and oranges. I went to school, came home, and started homework. My favourite breakfasts are yoghurt and muesli, oats, flapjacks and syrup, and bacon and eggs.

The most exciting and important thing about the reasons for starting my blog is that my website will be highly secure since I will be running and operating my website. As a result, I will be the person in charge of passwords of the website and this will be an ideal way of making sure that my information has been protected and that I will be the only person that will authorize and determine what will be posted and whatever that will be left. Comment by Diandra: I suggest placing this body paragraph as the 1st reason why you should create a blog. Body paragraphs in a narrative essay can be placed in order of importance. Also, you say that your website would be very secure with passwords etc., so therefore you don’t have to worry about people exposing your information, right? If so then It would be good to rethink the previous paragraph. You can even merge this paragraph with the previous one. The topic sentence can look something like this then: The most exciting and important reasons to start my blog is that my website will be highly secure, eliminating the risk of my information being used for malicious practices. Then in the following sentences you can explain that you will be running the bewsite yourseld, controlling passwords, protecting information, etc. And that this will reduce the risk of certain things (include then the information from the previous paragraph) Note that in the topic sentence example, I improved on word choice and clarity by saying "important reason"

The notable resolution that is associated with the aspect of developing my blog is that I will stop relying on other people’s or organization’s blog in carrying out my transactions. In case I do not have my blog, the implication is that I will have to rely on blogs that have been developed by other people. Therefore, the notable resolution that is associated with the desire to start my blog is to avoid depending on the blogs of other people and start using my blog. Comment by Diandra: Word choice and wordiness Article choice (a, an , the) Articles are a type of determiner and they go before a noun. A/an and the are articles. Indefinite articles (a and an) are used when we are referring to an unspecified thing or quantity. There are many reason and this one isnt the only one. Therefore, use "a". You can also say "another" or "the next". Use “a” when the indefinite article comes before a word beginning with a consonant sound: a toy a book a house Use “an” when the indefinite article comes before a word beginning with a vowel sound: an operation an idea an apple Definite article (the) is used when we are talking about something specific which is already known: the dog, the apple. Let’s look at the meaning of resolution: Resolution = a firm decision to do or not to do something. Example: He made a resolution never to do it again. Next, what aspect of developing your blog are you referring to? I suggest avoiding using too many words in your sentences, as this may cause confusion. Do you mean: Another notable reason I associate with developing my own blog is that I will stop relying on other people's or organization's blogs in carrying out my transactions. Comment by Diandra: I suggest elaborating more on the content of this paragraph and not repeating the 1st sentence. How does making your own blog help you with transactions? How is relying on other people’s blogs inconvenient? Show the reader shy this is an advantage and a good reason to start your own blog.

Additionally, the blog will enable me to be involved in a discussion with the other members that I will include in my blog. As a result, we will be capable of communicating among ourselves and discuss the matters pertaining to our businesses and other transactions. We will also be at a point of discussing the issues that might be affecting us and this will be an ideal importance for developing my blog. The other important thing to realize concerning dialogue is that the blog will be an important site for communicating my information both in words and also using pictures and it will be important for revealing the intended information. The notable purpose as to why I should start my blog is that the mode of operating will be enhanced in that I will stop using the current mode of communicating such as using Instagram and WhatsApp that I am using at the moment. Therefore, the purpose of beginning my blog will be to start using the current and modern style of communicating such as the blog and this will also enhance communication. Comment by Diandra: Instead of using “the” you can say "The final..." because this is the last reason you will be discussing. Comment by Diandra: How can this sentence be summed up? Example: The final notable purpose as to why I should start my blog is that the current mode of communication, which includes Instagram and WhatsApp, will be enhanced in to more modern styles of communication. Comment by Diandra: Instead of repeating the 1st sentence in different words. Build on the content of your body paragraphs by providing support/evidence as to why his is true. Why is a blog more modern? How is it better? What type of communication des it use? Why is it better communication that Instagram/WhatsApp? Include an example that illustrates this.

Conclusion Comment by Diandra: You don’t need to add headings for the introduction and conclusion.

At the moment, the modes of communicating have changed to a great extent. People have stopped using the convectional mode of communicating and have embraced the current mode of operating. Therefore, I have every reason to start my blog so that I might enjoy the various benefits that are associated with blogs and also due to the various aspects that have been discussed under the body section.
