Begin each case study by introducing the scenario/specific themes so that any reader would know what this case study is about. From there, explain what a stage three-pressure ulcer is.
Pathology: Explanation and Plan of Care
Follow the rubric. You need to develop a plan of care for the patient and his wife. What education or care would you provide? Examples might, be turning every two hours, offloading the heels, high protein diet, keeping the skin clean and dry, teaching the wife wound care, etc.
Response to Questions
You mentioned the four stages of wound healing three times. Try not to just 'answer the questions' but explain your research as it relates to the individual in the case study. For example he would heal by second intention. Explore issues ideas and concerns as it relates to this patient. Integrate your own thought processes into your responses.
(Adequately addresses most prompts included in the case study, but does not explore issues, ideas, or concerns)
