Medicaid  is funded by the federal and state governments. It helps low-income Americans pay for health-related services.

As a result of this program, children are able to receive treatment required. The federal government provides matching funds to those states who

participate in the State Children’s Health Insurance Program  (SCHIP) and thePatient Protection and Aordable Care Act  (ACA) Basics

This law expanded heath insurance so everyone could buy it, provided subsidies for low-income families, and required every individual to have

healthcare insurance. It set up “exchanges” for those who were unable to get health insurance through an employer or other group. The lower

the premiums for the exchange insurance, the higher the annual deductible. President Trump set the ne or tax for not having insurance to zero to

allow those who did not want healthcare coverage not to have it without paying a ne or tax. Any future president can change this and reset the

ne or tax at any level.
