Organizational Management
Develop your company’s acquisition and planning strategy for obtaining a contract.
One of the most important aspects utilized by a company is planning with an aim of ensuring that it is able to attain its objectives and targets. Lack of a plan will make it extremely challenging for the organization to achieve its aims. Therefore, due to this reason, organizations always plans for almost all its activities they intend to undertake with an objective of increasing the competitive advantage. In this case, my corporation known as First name Last name Inc. is a business that entails activities of floor furnishing. It has a privilege of being the only enterprise in the area and thus faces no competition. Once we received the patent to execute business activities, the company feels the necessity of expanding, an element that would be in need of funds and potential income sources. It is as a result of this reason that the enterprise is competing to secure a contract near a Navy base (Hubbard, 2011).
The strategy on planning and acquisition of a corporation simply demonstrates the significant elements that will assist the entity to acquire goods or contracts. In this scenario, the planning and acquisition strategy is focused on enabling the company to attain clients and contracts. For simplification, the strategy can be stratified into steps that will significantly contribute to the efforts of the organization to obtain the contracts from the Navy base as well as other individuals and organizations.
Marketing is the first step. It is significantly important to market an organization since it assists all the clients and customers in need of similar goods or services offered by the organization to understand the existence of the organization as well as its capabilities and willingness to offer them. marketing also helps in easing the burden of the organization of having to make crucial descriptions for the clients once approached by the organizational executives to obtain contracts. A client who is aware of the enterprise and is well versed with its products and services does not require much information about the business, unlike the instance where a person has never heard of the organization’s existence.
The next key strategy is research. This should be focused on the targeted customers and market. In such a case, the corporation ought to carry out research with an aim of learning particular services required by the navy and rival organizations competing for the same contract. To acquire this information, the company can simply manage to provide the required services and hence it would be extremely simple to obtain the contract from the navy as well as other organizations (Engelbeck, 2002).
Analyze the manner in which utilizing SmartPay or a similar program in electronic contracting will assist your company and the Navy. Provide a rationale for your response.
Smart Pay refers to an electronic contracting program that was established to assist companies with the issues and problems arising when operating under contracts. In most instances, entities involved in contract offer various products and services to individuals and other businesses. However, unlike for instances of the employees, companies experience varying challenges in contract management with the numerous required activities of safeguarding the particular rights of a contractor, invoice processing as well as payments processing among other processes. As a result of this explanation, most corporations opt the utilization of contracting programs such as Smart Pay.
This initiative offers essential help to people and businesses operating under contracts. It ensures the protection of rights of individuals and corporations working under contracts. It also ensures the processing of their invoices and payments in time and the making of necessary taxes and deductions. This helps in the retention of the contract while also eliminating any issues likely to arise. The Smart Pay as well as any other alternative electronic programs would therefore be highly significant to both the navy base and the organization.
