Dear (Mr./Mrs. X),
I hereby humbly submit my application for the Nuclear Medicine Technologist position. In support of my application, I have attached a resume providing a summary of my relevant professional experiences. I am a University of Findlay student currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology with a minor in Gerontology scheduled to graduate in Summer 2018. I am also enrolled for Bachelor of Science in Positron Emission Tomography (PET)/Computed Tomography (CT) Technology at University of Findlay and scheduled to graduate in Summer 2019. Your Nuclear Medicine department at (name of hospital) interests me because of the talented nuclear technology team and the superior state-of-the-art equipment, and I would be honored to join this team.
I am a good candidate for the position of Nuclear Medicine Technologist at (name of the hospital) owing to my vast professional experience, attention to detail, professional curiosity, multitasking abilities and strong problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills. I have gathered these skills through my clinical training at University Hospitals Medical Center, Cleveland, OH. In my clinical training site, there are four dual headed cameras, and one of them is hybrid with CT. Also, the department had three PET/CT cameras, and one PET/MRI. I am working with three of the most popular Nuclear Medicine camera companies which are Siemens, Philips and GE and so far, I became familiar with all of their systems. I am also familiar with many quality control procedures that are performed in dose calibrators, uptake probes and well counters using the famous Capintec, Inc company products, along with the quality control procedures performed on gamma and PET/CT cameras. The department helps me become more comfortable with thyroid therapy procedures utilizing both I-123 and I-131 high and low doses, along with liver cancer Y-90 treatments and pre-treatment.
Thank you for your time and consideration
Sincerely,
Fatima Shukri S Albahrani
