Narrative: The R.O. was dispatched to a report of a disturbance at the University of Fashion, at the above address. RO was directed to a study hall off of the Gabardine Commons. RO met (V) Lohan, who was suffering from a superficial wound to her upper left arm. There appeared to be a portion of a pen protruding from the wound, with blood spattered on the arm. RO transported (V) Lohan to Old Bates Hospital. (V) Lohan was seen by Emergency Room physician Dr. Ima Heeler, and the wound treated. While Dr. Heeler treated the wound, (V) Lohan related the following: She and (S) Hilton are both students at the University of Fashion, in the design department. They were collaborating on a project, when (S) Hilton picked up the paper on which they were working, at the same time that (V) Lohan also had hold of it. The paper tore in half. (V) Lohan relates that she crumpled up the paper and threw it at (S) Hilton, whereupon (S) Hilton picked up a pen and attacked (V) Lohan. The pen became lodged in (V) Lohan’s left upper arm, and when she pulled her arm back, she believes the pen broke. (V) Lohan related that (S) Hilton’s then picked up a potted plant and broke it over (V) Lohan’s head. (S) Hilton then fled the building across the garden, and a witness called the Fashion Police. Dr. Heeler removed the portion of the broken pen from (V) Lohan’s arm. I responded back to the scene, and noted the following: A search of the study hall revealed an uncrumpled partial piece of paper (Item 1), that appeared to be torn in half, on the floor near one of the study tables. On the paper was some writing in ink, and some of the letters/words missing. In the same general vicinity of this piece of paper I also observed soil, a plant, and numerous pottery fragments on the floor (Item 4). On the table, I observed a pen (Item 3), as well as another torn piece of paper (Item 2), again, with some writing in ink on it, missing some of the letters/words. In the area of the garden, I saw shoeprints in the mud, and on the tiled area of the hall, muddy shoeprints (Item 6) and blood drops on the ground (Item 7). While present at the scene, (S) Hilton returned, and was identified to me by a witness. In the interview with (S) Hilton, she related that (V) Lohan was writing slanderous and untrue gossip about her on a piece of paper, and she (Hilton) tried taking the paper away from (V) Lohan. She related that (V) Lohan then struck her with a potted plant. I searched her body and clothing. I noted a wound bleeding small amounts of blood on her head, and also saw numerous small fragments of red clay-like material (Item 5) in and around her head and hair. I collected her clothing and shoes (Item 12). While checking her pants pocket, I found a broken pen (Item 8) in the left ass pocket. At the station, several other reference items were collected from both parties. All of the physical evidence was submitted to the laboratory.
