For extra credit you need to watch the last presidential debate that will air tonight, Thursday, Oct. 22. If you can't watch it tonight, you can watch a recording of it any time in the next week. This assignment isn't due for a month.

While watching the debate I'd like you to make 10 notes on points one or both candidates make. You can make ten bullet points on your page or number the points 1-10. Each note should be at least a couple of sentences. Please do not focus your note-taking on the performative aspects of the debate (the yelling, arguing, or cutting off). I'd like you to note and discuss substantive political points the candidates make.

If you can, try to figure out a way to relate what the candidates are saying to the material we've read in class or the discussions we've had in class. If you can't, that's okay.
