‘the maturity of death’

The most interesting thing about this reading was that I was so into the reading that I

lost track of the time, which had never happened before with me. And I was also

surprised how James Marcus conveys a fiction story in a very emotional topic. In this

essay, James Marcus says that success is a tricky word and states that it is ‘a great

calamity that has been deferred for a moment’, and when spoke this while the reading it

struck to me that doctors out of all give the majority of the hope to people as Hospitals

have heard more prayers than a temple. I totally enjoyed reading the essay. It was full

of the thing that even if I wanted to not take an interest I ended up listening to the whole

reading and it was very inspirational.
