Linking outcomes from Electronics commerce and Intranet development to my
Workplace:
· What electronic commerce (EC) is and its categories, as outlined by Dr. Nathan Johnson
(2019).
E-Commerce business is the movement of purchasing or selling of items on online administrations or over the Internet. Some of the categories of E-commerce are business to business, consumer, business to government and consumer to consumer.
· Business-to-Business E-commerce (eB2B) and B2B portals, as outlined by Dr. Nathan
Johnson (2019)
Applying workplace experiences to my course
· Various e-government initiatives, activities and implementation of government 2.0 and
m-government, as outlined by Dr. Nathan Johnson (2019).
· Mobile computing and the importance of mobile computing.
Linking outcomes from Project Management to my Workplace:
· Characteristics of a project and five PMBOK process groups, as outlined by Dr. Jeff
Johnson (2019)
According PMBOK, the five process groups are Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & controlling and Closing. I am a Business Analyst at work, and I have followed these 5 process groups in my most recent project. This is the place the task is formally approved by the support, starting degree characterized, and stakeholders recognized. The way toward Initiating has helped me to set vision of what is to be accomplished at the end of the project. In this phase, I have learned how to create documents like project charter and stakeholder register. It helped me prepare these documents perfectly at work. In the planning phase, I have learned that crucial element of planning is establishing total scope of the project. This course has helped me to create project management plan and project schedule documents. My job now is to hand over these documents to the development team and this is where the execution of the project begins. After everything is done, it comes back to me to close the project. From this course, I have learned the correct ways to close the project. All in all, this course has helped me to follow certain rules in the end to end process of a project.
· Significance of and how to create a project charter and project scope statement, as
explained by Dr. Jeff Johnson (2019)
As a business analyst, one of the most critical responsibilities for me is to create a project charter and the project scope statement. A project charter is a formal, typically short document that describes your project in its entirety. This course has given me the correct format and also important rules to create a project charter. It helped me answer what business justification is and also helped to me identify the stakeholders. A project scope statement is a useful tool to outline the project's deliverables and identify the constraints, assumptions and key success factors. This course has taught me that a well written scope statement clearly defines the boundaries of a project.
Applying workplace experiences to my course:
· Nature and purpose of project time management, as explained by Dr. Jeff Johnson (2019)
· purpose of project cost management, as outlined by Dr. Jeff Johnson (2019).
