What causes the link between drug use and crime especially among the youths?

This question matters to me because it seems like some people choose to engage in drugs fro person pleasures and for fun. Some youths consider engaging in drugs such as alcoholism is a way of enjoying life and passing their leisure time. What I can’t understand is how people who decide to join drugs use for fun and pleasure end up to commit crimes after taking the drugs while they were not committing crimes previously. If I write a paper on this topic, I will expound more on what does the drug do the body and mind of the person that alters their behaviors and shows them why they should engage in crime. I can focus on what other researcher have talked about the topic and develop an understanding of the problem.

This question matters to me because in my residential estate I have seen young people living a good life but once they engage in drugs their life alters and they behind to develop deviant behaviors. On the other hand, there are those who still retain their morals and good behavior despite their engagement in substance abuse. I am curious about the changes drugs do make in the human body that facilitates the commission of crimes among most young people.

Answering this question is also important to others because it is concerned about a phenomenon in the community and an issue that has raised numerous debates on drugs and criminality. Drugs and crimes take place in the society where affect every individual living in areas they take place. The question should be necessary for shaping the understanding of people regarding drugs use and their contribution to engagement in crime so that the interest of eradicating unlawful acts in society can begin by eliminating drug use behaviors among the young people. What mistake to people do when deciding to engage in drugs that prevent them from attaining the intended goal of pleasure and ends up facilitating criminality? This question essential to every person in society.

Already my exercise is thinking about the question which led me to alter my question giving more things to consider in my research. Therefore I will write of the following topic.

New Question (Level 2): why are there people who engage in drugs and still retain their good morals and what is their difference from those who end-up in crimes after committing crimes.

Thesis: Some people decide to engage in drugs and still retain their good morals after taking the drugs because they focus on the objective of taking the drugs which is obtaining pleasure and for fun. In the quest to expound about the disparities I developed an interest in determining whether gender difference and type of drug used will have an impact on distinguishing those who retain morals and those who engage in crimes after taking drugs? At this level, I am interested in determining whether drugs have different influence on the mind and body of female and male users. I am also interested in determining whether those who use heavy are likely to engage in crimes that those using less effective drugs. In this case, I choose to expound on Bhang and alcohol as the type of drugs to consider.

The current thing will require me to research more on gender disparities in drugs use and its preferences on criminality. I will have to study in female behavior after engaging in alcohols and bhang and alcohols and also study the behaviors of men after they consume bhang and alcohol so as to determine the disparities which led me to developing of another question?

New Question (Level 3): What gender disparities on drug use and crime existing and their difference developed by the type of drugs used?

This research topic is broad hence the research may fail to exhaust everything appropriately hence they is a need to narrow it down and focus on a narrow topic that will create room for deeper studies. In this case, I will assume that drugs use will have a similar effect in the mind of either gender hence I will expound on the different drugs and how they influence a person to commit crimes. At this stage, I also recognize that both female and male have the capability of engaging in crimes. Therefore I will be interested in answering the question

Final Research question: What is the impact of bhang used on facilitating criminality and is it different from the influence of alcohol consumption and criminality among the youths?
