Explanation for the Writer :

I already have completed my observation hours in Oregon Courts (State Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court), now I need to write a 5 page paper that compares and contrasts the different courts I observed and summarize my overall learning experience. Also, include comparisons between the US court system and Saudi Arabia court system.

Accordingly, the person who going to write this paper must use I, I am… etc (as if he/she observed the courts).

Remember this not research, it is a summary for what I have learned from courts, so please don’t write it as a research way.

So Important :

Paper must include INTRODUCTION and CONCLUSION. Also, it must address the THREE types of courts in Oregon (State Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court).

Here some information that I learned during observation to help you to write this paper :

(These information to help you during writing this paper, but you have add some information. Also, you have to re-written in academic form ).

· In General :

· Building of courts in United State are more organized than Saudi Arabia, where it is fully furnished with everything visitor, judges or lawyers need. In addition to being owned by the government where in Saudi Arabia only courts which located in a large cities are built and owned by the government in addition to being fully furnished.

· Cameras are distributed everywhere inside the courts of United States even in the courtroom where it is banned in Saudi Arabia despite ongoing claims by lawyers of the need for cameras especially as it would be strong evidence of anything happening inside the courtroom and thus will prevent the manipulation of some judges.

· The courtrooms are very organized where everything has their place parties, jury and observers, and my attention drawn to the place of witness where they sit anywhere in Saudi's courts.

· Formal dress binding in Saudi's court unlike US courts.

· Often you can enter any case in US courts even if it is family case, since in Saudi Arabia, because of the different culture, anyone has no relationship to the case is no allowed to enter the families cases.

· The possibility of a woman to be a judge where is impossible in Saudi Arabia in accordance with Sharia.

· In State Courts :

· Jury trail, it is divided between 6 or 12 persons... (for the writer, explain more and write about jury in US and who it is not existing in Saudi Arabia).

· (for the writer, EXPLAIN how the power of a judge become more administrative than judicial in jury trial).

· The judgment may be sent to parties where in Saudi Arabia is impossible where is may be selected an appointment just for reading the judgment.

· The witnesses repeat the oath exactly as the case in Saudi Arabia, but the different here is that lawyers or adversaries in Saudi Arabia do not repeat the oath as here in US court.

· In Court of Appeal :

· The most important different between the system of Court of Appeal in US and Saudi Arabia is that there is no argumentation front the judge in Saudi Arabia that mean you only submit your argument or not to the court where you lost, and they will send your arguments to the Court of Appeal, then the three judges of Court of Appeal will meet to study your argument and the judgment will be sent to the same court again. However , this system is unfair as I personally have been subjected to injustice when the first court where I submitted my argument to them lost some papers from my argument, so my argument was incomplete when they sent it to Court of Appeal. Accordingly I lost the case.

· (For the writer, you have write more differences between the both system).

· In Supreme Court :

· (for the writer, write about the system of Supreme Court in US and Saudi Arabia, and what is similar and what is different between them.)

Remember : the paper must consist 5 pages.
