EXPERIMENT 2: VIEWING LIVE SPECIMENS

While observing protists, you will notice that they exhibit different types of locomotion, speed, etc. In this experiment, you will observe the effects of a slowing reagent to get a better look at fast-moving protists.

PROCEDURE

1. Observe the movement of the protists with and without slowing agent. Notice the different types of locomotion employed by

different types of protists.

2. Answer the post-lab questions.
