Pizza by Mario Franchise Expansion Marketing Report By: Student Name

Pizza by Mario Franchise Expansion

Selected States for New Franchises

The states selected for franchise expansions are located geographically adjacent to states in which existing franchises are located. This decision was made in consultation with the NuTrends Market Research consultant for the following reasons:

· Minimize travel area for head office personnel

· Provide for lower distribution costs of supplies from the head office warehouse

· Lower cost of travel for franchisees to training and meetings at head office

NuTrends Market Research provided the latest population estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau for the target states. The following chart depicts these estimates.

New franchises have been planned in Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. Based on the state populations shown in the chart, the writer recommends that Pizza by Mario consider actively recruiting new franchises within Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois.
