I have been using Excel for about 6-7 years now. I started using it in my freshmen year of high school in my Computer Apps. class. I used it for school projects such as budgeting sheets for math classes and class schedules. I have also used Excel at work. In excel, we log our branch numbers for the day which later calculates the totals for our branch. This calculations aspect has already been embedded in that spreadsheet specifically so anytime we need it, its already saved for us. It is quit a useful tool but I personally dont think it can be user friendly (majority for the times). I say this because the basics are the basics, those are simple. But if you're trying to get the calculations into the spreadsheet, it can be a little difficult. Of course, practice makes perfect but in the beginning its a little hard to get used to. The wonders of what Excel offers are endless; you can get really complex with the application. Some companies log their inventory in it which can be tough to set up within the spreadsheet but it is one of the many things Excel has to offer. Overall, it can be used for various tasks, whether they are simple or complex.
I have been using Microsoft Excel for two months. At my current job, I have used Excel to debrief the delivery driver's return packages. Towards the end of my shift. I have to place all the essential information that I have to gather from the drivers and place that information in a pivot table. In the Pivot table, I have to put the driver's name and employment I.D., the number of packages he or she returned, and the reasons why packages were returned. In my opinion, Excel is ok, but it is not as easy as PowerPoint and Word Doc. I am glad we are going over this topic so it can help me a little bit at work.
I have only worked with Microsoft Excel only a couple of times in my whole life. I started using it when a job I had required me to turn in an invoice in order to get paid. I don’t consider myself very proficient and I am not embarrassed to say it because this class will help me learn more about Microsoft Excel and get comfortable at using it more often. Even though I haven’t used Microsoft Excel as much as I should I personally think that it is user friendly and just like any other software it can be complex at times, but I’m sure this class will help me to learn more about it features and how to use them properly. In this class im hoping to be more confident when working with Microsoft Excel and it features.
i have never used Excel. but im really looking forward to know as much as i can in this lesson. i hope to know how to use it properly and prepare me for professional settings. being able to calculate things into a spreadsheet, also making graphs is something im really looking forward to.
I only have excessively used Microsoft Excel at my job to keep track of sales and keep track of inventory. I have also used it frequently last year to help me find statistics based on my data. I have used an application that was similar to Microsoft Excel for Statistics called MyStatLab. I would input data in rows, then transfer them onto an appropriate graph, to show significant increases or decreases in data. Other than those times using excel, I don't have much experience with this application. Although, I think it should be easy because I am familiarized with the previous skills needed to access PowerPoint's basic controls. I believe Excel is a user-friendly application because one can easily learn how to navigate the application just by reading and learning the terms. I can apply the skills I learned in PowerPoint to quickly learn the ways around Excel. I'm excited to be able to use Excel to keep myself organized with finances. I also want to learn how to use Excel as a tool in my life or future career.
To be honest, I have never used it, but I understand what it's used for, Most fields use it for the sake of reports and records, and that's far as I know, I don't have a personal or professional experience to mention. Based on going through the application right at this moment, I do believe it's user-friendly. I hope to learn all necessary aspects to land a professional good looking, easy to navigate spreadsheets.
I have been using Excel for about ten years, including seven years in a professional environment. Seeing as my degree is in accounting and I have worked in the accounting field for a while, Excel is one of the most essential programs out there. I have used Excel for many different functions including: generating reports, independent calculations, importing/exporting financial information, and integration. Furthermore, coming from the perspective of a financial guy I would consider Excel to be very user-friendly many due to it's flexibility and versatility. However, I don't think most people would agree.
great example of the everyday use of the application. When starting out with the application, you can gain a lot from the ability to record data, conduct simple calculations, and utilize tools such as the tables and charts to help you analyze the data. As you learn to work with larger data sets you can capitalize on more advanced statistical tools. It is definitely an application that you can continue to grow with as you learn more and require more complex capabilities and tools.
