What You Need to Know
This assignment has two parts:
1. A short formal paper (1–2 pages)
2. An Excel spreadsheet with your calculations, tables, and charts
You will use the OER textbook Computers in Healthcare by Brigitte Niedzwiecki (linked in your module), along with the custom video and attached PDF.
🧮 Part 1: Excel Spreadsheet
Use Excel to complete the following tasks:
Questions 1–3
· Show all your formulas and calculations.
Question 4
· Create a chart (graph) based on your data table.
Question 6
· Create the data table and chart in Excel.
· All work must be visible and include formulas in the spreadsheet.
📝 Part 2: Formal Paper (1–2 pages)
Write paragraphs that address:
· Question 5
· The case study prompts in Question 6
Important: Do not copy the prompts word‑for‑word. For example, instead of writing:
“What is the sum of the number of falls?”
Write:
“The total number of falls was ___, and the average was ___.”
Paper Formatting
The following do NOT count toward the 1–2 page limit:
· Title page
· Reference page
· Appendix (data table + chart)
Use APA format for your paper and citations.
📚 Required Sources
You must include at least two references:
1. The OER textbook: Computers in Healthcare (linked in Module 1)
2. One professional source from the SU Library
🚫 Do not use general websites, Wikipedia, Google searches, or non‑scholarly internet sources. ✔ Cite your sources in APA format in the text and on the reference page.
