EXCEL PRACTICAL EXERCISE – 2 Charting
You and three of her friends came up with the idea of starting a travel agency for college students. As sales continue to grow, you have realized that you need a better tracking system for first quarter sales. In addition, you want to create 2 graphs showing the first quarter sales (a pie graph showing the most effective sales method and a bar graph showing the most popular vacation packages). Instructions:
1. Copy the following information to a new Excel Worksheet. The letters and numbers in Gray represent the Excel Worksheet. DO NOT copy them.
2. Save your workbook as yourname_P2

3. Enter the title at A1: Spring Break 1st Quarter Sales 4. Enter the row title at A8: Total 5. Enter the column title at F3: Total 6. Find the Totals for each type of sales method 7. Find the Totals for each Vacation Destination 8. Change the Font, Font Size and Color of your Title
i. You decide on the formatting 9. Center the Title across the table 10. Place a Thick Line Border around Cells A8:F8 11. Center and Bold the Row Title in B3:F3 12. Format the Table to your liking
i. Be sure ti use appropriate format for your numbers 13. Rename the sheet tab, Spring Break and color the tab blue

i. Move the Graph underneath the Table ii. ADD DATA LABELS to the chart iii. It should show the Totals
15. Enter your name, Student ID#, Date and Instructor Name underneath the chart on the worksheet (not in the chart)
CHART 2 16. Create a BAR GRAPH with the Totals of each Vacation place
i. Move the graph to a new Worksheet ii. Title this worksheet Destinations iii. Color the Tab red
17. Change the Document Properties i. Add your name ii. Add the subject iii. Add TAGS (Use a minimum of 3, separated by commas)
