Explanation for SPSS Histograms
Chart one depicts the number of traffic fatalities occurring in 2005 across the United States. The x axis exhibits the number of fatalities, while the y axis shows the number of states reporting the indicated fatality count. The outlier on the far right is the state of California, which had 4329 traffic fatalities. Chart two illustrates the number of fatalities per 100,000 persons. Wyoming had the highest per capita fatality rate at 33.01 traffic deaths per capita. Both charts appear to have a log-normal distribution.
