Notice that the title of the paper is the heading for the introduction. You do not need to
write a separate abstract for this paper assignment. Your introduction will be the start of your
paper. Be sure to write your paper as a technical report, not as a narrative or story. Include
important facts about the company and cite your sources throughout your paper. Create a
References page to document the resources you use. Start a new section with a heading. Be
consistent with your headings.
Purpose Statement

Mission Statement
A mission statement is defined as “….” (textbook authors, year). Include a transition
sentence. Then find the company’s mission statement and include it. Use quotations to indicate
you are writing it word-for-word and cite the source.
Executive Leadership
In this section, talk about some of the executive leaders. This is not intended to be a list
of the leaders, but an integration of the leaders and how they worked together (or not) and how
they affected Six Flags. Do not include a picture of the leader unless it is important to your
paper. You can always include an Appendix at the very end if you want to include them so they
don’t take up report space.
The External Environment
The external environment is defined as “definition here” (textbook authors, year).

Remote Environment
The remote environment is defined as “definition here” (textbook authors, year). You will
write a paragraph transitioning to the remote environment. Also, notice the subheading
(secondary heading) for Remote Environment. This shows the reader that this is a topic under the
main heading.
Economic factors. Economic factors are defined as “definition here” (textbook authors,
year). Notice this third-level heading is indented and the second word starts with a lower case.
There is also a period after the heading. A fourth level heading (like the one you will use for
Porter’s Five Forces) will be just like the third-level heading, but it will also be italicized.
If you do include a figure or table, you must give it a label, title, and citation. See the
Figure 1 example below. Also be sure to talk about the figure in the paragraph. For example,
Figure 1 shows that unemployment has decreased from 2010 to 2019, this means that…and then
explain why this is important.

Industry Environment
The industry environment goes back to a second level heading and the sentence starts the
line below the heading.
Porter’s Five Forces. The first letter in Porter’s Five Forces is capitalized because it is
the name of the concept.
Industry competitors/Intensity of rivalry. Notice this fourth-level heading is similar to
the third-level heading, but is italicized. This should give you a good start for your paper. Please
