Case Overview

The LA Galaxy is a Soccer Club team Organization located in Carson, CA.

Provides fans with an opportunity to see a Professional Soccer Team in the LA Area

The LA Galaxy offers Academy teams for both Girls and Boys

Their games are held at the practice soccer fields at the LA Galaxy Home location

LA Galaxy Owner is Philip Anschutz, President and CEO is Dan Beckerman

President of LA Galaxy is a Former Player, Chris Klein

General Manager and Vice President of Operations is also a former LA Galaxy, Pete Vagenas

Introduction

The LA Galaxy were founded in 1995 and the team competes in the Western Conference

Home Games are played in Carson, CA on the campus of CSUDH

Most Successful MLS Team in History

5 Time MLS League Champ, Winning the Supporter Shield 4 Times, 2 Time US Open Cup Champions and CONCACAF Champions

LA Galaxy started the trend of acquiring International STAR players

The 1st ever STAR was David Beckham, then all the teams in the league followed in LA Galaxy’s footsteps

LA Galaxy always tries to bring in the best possible talent out there

They brought in players such as David Beckham, Robbie Keane, Steven Gerrard and currently Giovani Dos Santos

LA Galaxy just this past October were the 1st in all MLS to launch a Fully funded Girl’s Academy Team

3 Academy Girl’s Team were launched and other MLS teams are starting to launch it as well

Some Barriers are new in city rival in LAFC, its location in Carson being in LA Area and the Head coach and two stars on the team departing just this past season might affect attendance

Overcoming the barriers are the signing of the new Head Coach Curt Onalfo, reminding the fans that LA Galaxy is the most successful club team in MLS and it is a top quality professional team with great players

Doing the greatest good for the most number of people (team), gives SoCal a great Soccer team to cheer for and ticket prices are great for a top Professional Soccer team in the LA Area

Don’t Cheat, Players not using enhancing or illegal drugs and players not putting in effort at games or practices

Follow the rules of the LA Galaxy on traveling to away games, follow the rules of the Soccer league and following the rules of the LA Galaxy as Nutrition and practices come into play

Conclusion

The 3 Key Findings regarding the LA Galaxy

The Players needs to feel apart of the team and social media helps with that

Fans follow the players on social media as well as having meet and greats

Time away from Family can be hard on a Player

Especially with young children and missing family, traveling half of the year to away games

Players following the trainers nutrition plan as well as getting their rest

Being fit is key to being a professional and players are always using their health as best they can to get an advantage on other players and teams
