PE:Licensing ? Part 1:Summary The PE exam is a standard required for engineers in california and many states. The test is made to test engineers for knowledge, laws and just basic skills they need to meet the standards for engineers to avoid complications in the future. ? Part2:Interest in PE exam I am really interested in taking the PE exam. I am planning to work in the state of california. The PE test sounds like a good idea to get right after graduating with my bachelors my concentration is in power so there are alot of classes that is going to help prepare me for the test and there are many outside sources that can prepare me for the test. ? Part3:Questions If i get a PE test for california can i work in other states that require PE license even if it ask for other requirements for the test? ? Part4: My plan to prepare for the test For the first criteria (General power engineering) one of the classes I can take that will help me is (EE452: Power system analysis). For the second criteria (circuits) there are many classes I can take in csulb in my road map that meets that criteria but the base of it is (EE:211:Electric and Electronic circuits). For the third criteria (Rotating machines and electric power devices). Not really sure how to meet the criteria but I believe (EE451:Electric vehicles) will help a lot. Last criteria (Transmission and distribution) there is a lot of classes offered that will help and programs that can prepare me but (EE452:Power system analysis) also help in this criteria.
