“All those women on welfare have it made. All they do is stay home and make babies

while the rest of us have to work and pay taxes to support them.”

We all know that first impressions are substantially important, however, human beings

have formed a bad habit of creating preconceived opinions about others with absence of

sufficient information, this is commonly known as Prejudice. Prejudice is innate in humans given

the fact that is in our nature to judge individuals and groups, however we have the ability to

control, to a certain extent, how much prejudice can affect human interaction. It is important to

know that it does not only affect the person that its being subjected to it, but also the perpetrator,

having some side effects like Hate and similar negative feelings.

One example of prejudice is seeing women as an inferior being. Due to the lack of education on

previous times, women have been victims of cultural mistreating of men who believe us to be

weaker because of our physical construction. However, psychological studies have proven that

females can withstand higher amounts of stress than males, and be better multitaskers, thus

demonstrating to be as capable to perform “manly” activities. Since the beginning of time

women have being limited by men to birth giving and housekeeping. Some women have gotten

advantage of that ideal by having babies and receiving government aid, and living off of it, thus

giving excuses for prejudice to happen. Government aid or Welfare its is the provision of social

support and well-being for citizens without the capacity to support their basic needs. Most single

mother are benefit by the government program of support to assist families in need. A program

that over the years has been very helpful, however that not all who really need it have it and not

everyone that has it needs it. This is why many hard working women, genuinely concerned about

their family and their children, think poorly of women who take advantage of the government.

The so-called welfare program, a name given to these opportunists without a heart, without

dignity and without principles.

The idea that women on welfare have it made is a very touchy subject. There are positive

and negative things on this topic. The negative is that women on welfare are living off the

government from the other people who work and pay taxes. A positive opinion is women who

live on welfare because their children were born with problems and the women can’t work.

There are many reason for every people, especially single mothers who apply for this type of

government benefits and it is true, many of her needs them, others take advantage and others that

have neither one nor the other have to work and pay for everything.
