Model the Way

1/2

Find Your voice

Seek understanding in who you are. What things are you good at? (pg 16)

You need to sit down and get a piece of paper and write down things your good at (top five) (JM)

Get a notebook and always write down the things that you want to try.(JM)

“Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.” (JM)

This would be philosophical because this would be task that’s pacifically towards finding who you are as a woman. (AW)

2/3

Set the Example

The ability to find out who you are and what’s best for you. This would be the separating process. (B3)

Joyce Meyer viewed herself as a leader because her goal was to find who she was. She did that by putting who she wanted on paper. For her is what about loving yourself. Her goal was to know her and help you as a reader know who you are as a human. (pg 66)

“Leadership is a potent combination of strategy and character. But if you must be without one, be without the strategy.”(pg 78)

“Courage is fear that has said its prayers and decided to go forward anyway.” (JM)

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.”

Inspire a Shared Vision

3/4

Envision the Future

The vision is becoming who you want to be. Part of finding yourself is creating

“A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.”

“You can suffer the pain of change or suffer remaining the way you are.” (JM)

“Character is doing what you don't want to do but know you should do.”

“One mistake does not have to rule a person's entire life.”(JM)

4/5

Enlist Others

NOTE: THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN FILLED IN, I REMOVED IT

You can inspire others buy investing time into others. This would mean that you share things in common to reach a common goal. For example, its talks about religion. Not everyone believes in the same god. We all believe that there is a god.

“No man will make a great leader who wants to do it all himself, or to get all the credit for doing it.” (B2)

Theoretically people usually tell us who we are, then there influence on who we or who we are trying to be can create us. “The class self”.

“Our past may explain why we're suffering but we must not use it as an excuse to stay in bondage.”  (JM)

Challenge the Process

5/6

Search for Opportunities

NOTE: THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN FILLED IN, I REMOVED IT

The best way to step out your shell is to do things you’re not use to. You could ask your friends and family about you to figure out who you are. (B3)

“you have to realize that you don't have someone else's life and you’re never going to. You better start loving the one you got. Embarrass the life you have and stop wishing that you could be someone else. Just stop all that and start saying "God here I am. Do what you want to do with me".” (B1)

“80% of people's problems are about how they feel about themselves.” (JM)

“Patience is not the ability to wait but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting.” (JM)

6/7

Experiment & Take Risk

You have to go through trials and tribulations to find out what your good at. This is also how you learn from our mistakes. Mistakes are meant to be made so make them and learn. That’s the true beauty in growing to who you want to be. (B4)

“Try a thing you haven't done three times. Once to get over the fear of doing it. Twice to learn how to do it. And a third time to figure out whether you like it or not.” (JM)

The experiment task would be getting out of your comfort zone to find out who you are and what you like. For example, if you want to learn how to speak another language, this requires you to try something different.(B3)

“God doesn’t tell you to do hard things, so He can stand back and laugh and watch you struggle. He tells you to do things the things that He knows are going to work out to your good in the end.”

(JM).

“Happiness is not a feeling, it is a choice. To be happy, one must choose to be happy, not respond to a circumstance that now controls your happiness.”

(JM)

Enable Others to Act

9/10

Foster Collaboration

“lot of people are good at starting, but they are not good at finishing. The reason is simple. Emotions get us started. They are always there to support us in new things. We get a word from God or someone prophesies to us, and we are off and running. The question is, how long do we keep running once the emotions wear off? I” (JM)

“It is not as important how we start (our past), but how we finish.” (JM)

“You cannot have a positive life and a negative mind.” (JM)

Theoretically this would require you to come together with people have a influence your looking to get into. There many programs to help you do so such as going to church or being a apart of PRRSA. (AW)

“Just because you go to church doesn't mean you're a Christian. I can go sit in the garage all day and it doesn't make me a car”

“Learn how to enjoy where you are on the way to where you’re going.” (B2)

10/11

Strengthen Others

"Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other."(AW)

You can strengthen others by lifting them up and learning from one another. This would consist of you being a “team player”. (AW)

Fall in love with you so that it’s easy to love others. When you don’t like you it’s hard to get around others and see the joy for them. If you get into a relationship and don’t love yourself it’s not going to work out you will put t much effort into the other person. That’s too much power is what she is saying. (JM)

“Stop determining your worth and value by what other people say. Be determined by what the Word of God (scriptures)says.” (JM)

“Spending time with God is the key to our strength and success in all areas of life. Be sure that you never try to work God into your schedule, but always work your schedule around Him.” (AW)

Encourage the Heart

11/12

Recognize Contributions

“I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure, which is: Try to please everybody.” (B4)

“A man who wants to lead the orchestra must turn his back on the crowd.(B2)

“Outstanding leaders go out of their way to boost the self-esteem of their personnel. If people believe in themselves, it’s amazing what they can accomplish.”(B3)

"The best leader is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and the self-restraint to keep from meddling with them while they do it."(B2)

"The challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak; be bold, but not bully; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble, but not timid; be proud, but not arrogant; have

“Put your expectations on God, not on people.” (JM)

12/13

Celebrate the Values & Victories

“You don’t lead by pointing and telling people some place to go. You lead by going to that place and making a case.”(B2)

“Successful leaders see the opportunities in every difficulty rather than the difficulty in every opportunity.(B4)

In order to find your values, you have to do some research so you can believe what you want with backup information. (AW)

“Don’t find fault, find a remedy” (JM)

“When you are tempted to give up, your breakthrough is probably just around the corner.” (JM)

NOTE: THIS STUDENT ADDED THINGS BELOW HERE, A VERY GOOD JOB TO DO, BUT NOT REQUIRED FOR THE ASSIGNMENT.

Set Skill-My leader Joyce Meyer goal is to be yourself, but in order to be yourself you have to find who you are. There are several books she talks about getting to know yourself and she also mentions who she got mentorship from.

Tactics- Joyce Meyers tactics to finding yourself or simply exploring all your options even if you’re not good at something. She always mentions failure being the best thing for because you learn so much in the process. The best way to get to know you is to write down the top five thins your good at. Also get around people that you know like your finds and family and have them tell you about yourself being honest. This goes into the “The glass Self”. Writing down small things to make you happy such daily devotional.

Strategy-My own personal plan is to figure out who and what I want to be. In order for me to do so I would have to explore all the opportunities to find out which one fits me. I wrote out my 2-year plan where I want to be emotionally, mentally, physically, and finically in the future. My personal vision is to run my ow business and work for myself. The process to get there requires me to be humble and trust the process that I put on paper.

Theoretical Proposition- This would consist of me sticking to my plan and things get in the way just stay focus. I do believe that if you want something you have to see it to believe it. The way that Joyce Meyers put it was to write what you find out every day I think this would help you see your vison. I know that I wrote out my plan and have posted and printed in my room to remind myself why I do what I do on a daily basis. If you don’t know your why mostly likely you will quiet, especially if your why doesn’t prevent you from quitting.

Philosophy- Joyce Meyer really believe that god was the answered to anything. A lot of other quotes go back to the bible. I can relate to this because I’m also religious so to get a refresher or if I’m lost I have this little book that has verses that go towards understanding my pain. Its. A cooping for me and for her. She also mentions time by yourself is one of the greatest things you can give yourself.

2. “Is all anger sin? No, but some of it is. Even God Himself has righteous anger against sin, injustice, rebellion and pettiness.” (B2)

3. “When you are tempted to give up, your breakthrough is probably just around the corner.”(B3)

4. “Simplicity is a key to avoiding complication. Part of the definition of simplicity is ‘not complex or complicated; sincere.’”(B2)
