Hypothetical Activity Plan Detail  Scholarly or Creative Activity TE Comment by Leslie Reynard: All of the information should be presented in academic rather than personal terms. It needs to be very specific: What is the CN Studies area of focus: What is the research question and/or objectives for the paper? What theory or theories will you use? What specific method or methods will you use?

Integrated Communication with Business Continuation for Aries WatersportsFuntime Boardwalk, Taiwan

Activity Description Comment by Leslie Reynard: This section describes the research project. It must be specific (see above). Don’t direct readers to other sites; provide the information here. None of these tasks you describe are related to a specific Capstone research project, especially one for a CN Studies degree. The tone is too general, too personal, and too little related to your CN Studies course learning and skills development.

I am taking over partnership in a water sportsboardwalk and arcade corporation in Cabo San LucasTaiwan.

Details videos and photos are in the url: https://www.arieswatersports.comnotreallyinbusiness.org/ Understanding the legalities of running this corporation with our partners. Learning the transaction part of this business understanding that my phone will be ringing more and I will be having more responsiblities Learning to understand business expenses LegaltiesLegalities with declaring money from MexicoChina

Plan Goals Comment by Leslie Reynard: These are not goals for a Capstone research project. (See the example of a Proposal that I provided. There are also guidelines posted to the Capstone D2L site.) Your paper is meant to apply specific CN theories (and describe what these are, why they are relevant to your research goal, and how you will demonstrate your understanding of these theories in your paper. 1. Define a focus area. 2. Identity the theory or theories that apply and provide a rationale as to why they are relevant. 3. Describe your method(s) through which you will develop your research and writing.

To understand the integrated communication theory when taking over a corporation in Cabo San Lucas.Taiwan To show my business plans and actions when taking over To prepare myself for what I have to do.

Objectives: This section should include a timeline with specific activities whichactivities that will be accomplished to meet the goals and objectives. Comment by Leslie Reynard: We are at the end of Week Eight, mid-term. The WTE Declaration and research proposal should have been in place at least six weeks ago. At this point, you should have much, if not most, of your research completed. The WTE timeline is not meant to focus on developing the proposal – Details of weekly project plans for the research, writing, and presentation of the research are to be set out here. PLEASE SEE THE EXAMPLE OF A WTE DECLARATION AND ACTIVITY PLAN THAT I WILL ATTACH TO THIS FEEDBACK.

Week 1-7 -Research, Proposal development, and experience in Cabo Taiwan as partner. week 7-10 Proposal drafts and completions developing projects week 10 and on- finishing everything and getting ready to present

Through the 21st Century Looking-Glass: Symbolic Interactionism and the Gendering of the "Self"

Activity Description

This is a scholarly research project that will serve as my Capstone project for my Communication Studies degree. THEORY FOCUS: Symbolic Interactionism and Burkean theories of identity. METHOD: Rhetorical Analysis

 Plan Goals

Gender fluidity, broadening choices beyond M and F on application forms, and the struggle over which public bathroom is appropriate have become novel, sometimes confusing, sometimes contentious public conversations over the past In this paper, I will investigate the social construction of the "self," primarily building upon the Symbolic Interactionism of George Herbert Mead and applying certain theories of Kenneth Burke and Sigmund Freud. These theoretical underpinnings will support a close reading and rhetorical analysis of President Donald Trump's "Boy Scout Speech" and Caitlyn Jenner's rejoinder.

Objectives: This section should include a timeline with specific activities that will be accomplished to meet the goals and objectives.

I. To explore the applicability of George Herbert Mead’s theories on the social construction of the “self” developed in the early 20th century to situations arising in the early 21st century

II. To apply Mead’s concepts and related theories in a rhetorical analysis: President Trump’s Boy Scout Speech

III. To compare and contrast rhetorical strategies used by Caitlyn Jenner (formerly Bruce Jenner) to oppose the position presented by President Trump in that speech, as these are polar positions in 2017 US culture related to gender issues.

Timeline:

I plan to have this WTE project/CN Studies Capstone completed by the end of Spring semester, 2018 in this timeline: August through October 2017: Narrowed and focused research related to Burkean theories as they intersect with Freud's concepts of "War and Death." Possible further study of George Herbert Mead's Social Interactionism insights. October through November: Close readings of President Trump's Boy Scout Speech and Caitlyn Jenner's response to that speech. November: Content analysis (initial coding, focused coding, theoretical coding) and memo development. December through January: Drafting of essay in collaboration with Dr. Reynard, my WTE and Capstone mentor. February: Polished final draft completed. March: Complete final paper and obtain Dr. Reynard's approval. April: Present my research at Apeiron
