For the research paper, my narrowed research topic is the issues surrounding vaccine mandates in US public colleges. I will be using an article published by Gordana Pelčić to help me back up one of my body paragraphs that talks about the religion issues that come in to play when vaccines are being mandated. Since some people may have religious exceptions that don't allow them to receive vaccines, the overall issue of mandating vaccines in public colleges becomes a trickier area to enforce. This article passes the TRAAP test because it is not too old, provides me with very valuable information for my research paper, and its purpose of informing and educating from a trustworthy, unbiased source makes sure the information in that article simply just says the facts how it is.

EXAMPLE-2
My narrowed topic for my research paper consists of the connections between sexism and dress codes. I will be using an article by Lyn Mikel Brown to support one of my many claims. The article argues/helps its audience understand the frustrations women have experienced because of dress codes, such as sexism, racism, classism, etc. And although this article focuses on other issues caused by dress codes, it can provide further support for my claim. This article passes the TRAAP test as it was published over a year ago by a trustworthy and reliable source. It is also directly related to my topic, which makes it even more relevant. I can also trust it to be authoritative and accurate as it has been peer-reviewed by experts in the field. I would also like to add that this article was created for educational purposes.
